Grease

Music, Lyrics & Book by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey
With a hip-shaking rock 'n' roll score featuring hits like "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin',"
and "We Go Together," Grease celebrates Rydell High's class of 1959.

CASTING NOTE
● Auditions are open to all students, faculty, and staff at SUNY Geneseo. The SUNY
Geneseo departments of Music & Musical Theatre and Theatre and Dance are

audition.

● Thursday, August 29 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. in Doty Recital Hall.

CALLBACKS / DANCE CALL for Grease
● Tuesday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Brodie 218.
● Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m. in Brodie 218.

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE TIMELINE
● Rehearsals: Saturday, September 7 – Tuesday, October 15
o Tuesdays – Fridays: 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
o Saturdays: 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. with one hour break.
● Performances: October 23 – 26 at 7:30 p.m. and October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alice
Austin Theatre.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
● Please prepare one 32-bar musical theatre song in the genre of Grease.
● Please bring your sheet music in the correct key. A pianist will be provided.
● Please prepare a 1-2 minute teenage comedic monologue.
