The Alan Lutkus International Film Series presents, on Tuesday March 8th at 6.30pm, Best Picture-nominee Belfast, dir. Kenneth Branagh - the coming-of-age story of a young boy and his working-class Belfast family experience the tumultuous late 1960s. Voigt once again encounters a people with a porous cultural identity, where family histories are intertwined with an array of dialects and legacies.
The film will be introduced by Irish Studies faculty Dr. Joe Cope and Dr. Rob Doggett who will host a Q&A after the event.
