Zaynab El Bernoussi is assistant professor at Sciences Po Rabat of the International University of Rabat (UIR), Morocco. She holds a PhD in political and social sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain. She was a doctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a visiting scholar at Smith College and Harvard University. She is part of the executive committee of the Global South Caucus of the International Studies Association (ISA). Her work focuses on the politicization of dignity when looking at South-South cooperation and bioethical issues. Zaynab is the author of the book, Dignity in the Egyptian Revolution: Protest and Demand During the Arab Uprisings (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
