Louisa May Alcott's beloved novel, Little Women, first published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869, takes readers on a heartfelt journey through the lives of the four March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, the novel is a rich tapestry of family, friendship, and personal growth. The sisters navigate the challenges of growing up while their father serves as a Union Army chaplain, leaving them in the nurturing care of their mother, affectionately known as Marmee.
This Tony-nominated musical adaptation of Little Women premiered on Broadway in 2005; it captures the spirit and emotional depth of the original story through soaring music and poignant lyrics by Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein, respectively. Their collaboration results in a score that beautifully encapsulates the emotions and spirit of the characters.

Centered in a fictional 15th-century medieval kingdom, this whimsical musical is filled with humor & heart and explores the themes of family & found family through its array of comic characters. The kingdom is ruled by the overbearing Queen Aggravain, who has decreed that no one in the realm may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a suitable bride. However, the Queen has ensured that every princess who attempts to win the prince's heart fails a series of impossible tests. This amusing premise sets the stage for a tale packed with laughter, creativity, and clever twists.
Once Upon a Mattress was a notable success on Broadway, opening in 1959. Composer Mary Rodgers continued her father’s, Richard Rodgers’, legacy; it marked a significant milestone in her career, establishing her as a talented composer in her own right. A cherished part of Broadway history, Once Upon a Mattress, is celebrated for its clever twist on a classic fairy tale, its endearing characters, and its infectious score by Mary Rodgers.
