Join Elder Nde Tradition Keeper and Anthropologist Dr. Enrique Maestas for a lecture titled Nde Native Food Message and Receptivity in Expansive Contexts on Monday September 12 12:30-1:45p in Newton 203. Dr. Maestas has worked 40+ years for Indigenous peoples’ rights and land claims throughout the Americas and led sovereign actions for Lipan Apache people in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. He has established communities of water protectors, land defenders, and Indigenous educators to connect all peoples to our plant, animal, celestial, and terrestrial relatives as well as developed curriculum and Indigenous medicine and food communities.
