New Student Convocation officially welcomes the newest members of the Geneseo community. It is a meaningful occasion as students begin their academic journey and are introduced to the values, traditions, and aspirations that will shape their experience here. The ceremony marks the start of their Geneseo journey and celebrates the opportunities, connections, and achievements that lie ahead.

One of Geneseo's most cherished traditions, Convocation provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to demonstrate their support for our newest students as they begin their college experience. Faculty and staff members who would like to participate in the academic procession in regalia are invited to RSVP here.

Attendees planning to proceed in regalia should arrive at Wadsworth Room 21 by 10:30 a.m. for line-up.
