Open Faculty/Staff Safe Zone
What does it mean to be Safe Zone Trained? It means these individuals identify themselves as allies and are to the best of their ability understanding, supportive and trustworthy.
Geneseo Safe Zone members are committed to treating everyone with the dignity and respect they are entitled to as human beings, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, level of ability, national background or religion. These individuals are committed to educating themselves about oppression, heterosexism and homophobia, and to combating it on a personal level.
This workshop is appropriate for individuals new to the Safe Zone program as well as members of the campus community who need to be recertified. This workshop will be co-facilitated by Jennifer Guzmán (faculty, Anthropology) and Emma Celt (student leader). RSVP is required.
If you would like to schedule private training for groups of six or more on a different day, please fill out the online request form.
