OXFORD 2025 STUDY ABROAD
Please join us for one of our upcoming informational meetings on next summer’s study abroad course at Oxford University (see below for meetings schedule).
The Course:
ENGL 111: Diversity, Pluralism & Power in Literature: British LGBTQ+ Literature
Counts for CAI, DPP, or DEI credit in General Education and English elective
No prerequisites for this ENGL course
The course will connect an established syllabus of readings in queer literature/studies with specific aspects of that literature in Britain. Students will read, discuss, and write about texts as well as encounter elements of queer history through tours and theater opportunities in both Oxford and London. Free time is available for personal travel and sightseeing.
Course Schedule:
One week online (Week of 7 July 2025)
Three weeks in residence (13 July-3 August) at New College, Oxford University--actually founded in 1379, and includes a Harry Potter tree!)
