The Hatmaker's Wife

Drawing upon traditions of Jewish mysticism, playwright Lauren Yee has devised a sad and funny tale about a young woman who moves in with her boyfriend expecting domestic bliss,, but finds enlightenment when their new home reveals a magical tale of its previous inhabitants:  an old hatmaker and his long-suffering wife, who has run away with his favorite hat.  This sweet and surreal story bends time and space tor redefine ideas about family, home, and forgiveness.
